Travelling with pets
CTMA Ferry is committed to providing the best service possible for all its passengers, including those who travel with pets.
Here are the 3 options available:
- Leave the animal in the car for the duration of the crossing. For safety reasons, passengers may not access the car deck during the crossing. In cases of genuine necessity, a crew member can accompany you.
- Accompany him on an outdoor deck by keeping him on a leash at all times. Any pet on the outdoor decks must be supervised at all times.
- Put him in the kennel.
The CTMA wishes to offer free kennel service to passengers. However, it depends on the collaboration of the users in order to keep the place clean at all times and to collect the needs of the animals. If it is otherwise, fees could eventually apply to ensure the surveillance and cleaning of the premises.
The kennel is accessible through an exterior door. It is therefore possible to alternate, during your crossing, the option of accompanying your animal on an outside deck and that of putting it in a cage in the kennel.
How do I access the kennel from the car deck?
From the car deck one must use the elevator to deck 7 and from the outer deck one must go to deck 8 to access the kennel.
It is strictly prohibited to bring your pet into a cabin. A fine will be charged for failure to comply with this rule.
